Today I am back again in this very beloved community to share moments of my journey climbing a mountain that is far from my hometown, the mountain is called (burni telong).
a very bright day precisely on February 15, 2025, I was called by my friend he invited me to climb a mountain in the Bener Meriah area then I said yes because climbing is one of my hobbies I went to my friend's place which is in the same district as me my trip from my hometown to my friend's place was about 30 minutes when we arrived there we prepared our equipment or our supplies to take climbing, after everything was done we got ready to leave that day the day was so bright the sun was very hot but with our determination and goal to climb we were willing to go there even though the sun was hot, we went using three motorbikes the number of my friends was 5 people me one person the total was 6 people we climbed, our climbing trip was very extreme there were lots of ravines uphill climbs that were very new,
After several hours of our journey, we rested on the road while waiting for our friends who had not yet arrived and I had the chance to take some pictures of myself there surrounded by very long hills. The area we climbed is known as a cold city or better known as the city of Takengon, Southeast Aceh.
After a few minutes we waited, our friend who was left behind came, after that we continued our journey because our journey was not far, my friend said, about 1 hour, after an hour of travel we arrived at the climbing place, then we parked our motorbikes there, after we got ready to wear climbing clothes, gloves, hats and bags, we headed to climb. On that trip we had time to take some pictures there, that's a picture of me and my friend,
After taking photos and looking around the Legian area, we continued our journey to climb the mountain. According to my friend, there are three posts on the mountain. The first post is about 1 hour away. The second post takes about 3 hours and the third post where we camped is about 1 and a half hours. This means our journey took about 5 hours. During our journey, we took some pictures around our area, both trees and our own photos.
a few moments later we arrived at the first post there was a spring then we prepared our jerry cans which is a place to put water because we had to bring water to the third post because it was for us to cook there after we stood there for about 15 minutes waiting for my friend to come down to get water and I had time to take some pictures there with my friend at that time we arrived at the first post it was starting to get dark the clock at that time showed 06.30,
after everything was done we had water we continued the journey to the second post because even though it was night we still had to get to the third post because there we had to set up a tent to sleep and cook and I didn't have time to take some pictures at the second post because at that time it was getting dark and we only brought a flashlight how could we take pictures because it was very dark,
our climb at that time was very extreme because we were soaked by the rain when we climbed there it rained so much forget and we used our preparation coats from the village even though the rain was so heavy we still had to get to our destination even though the weather was not as good as we thought,
after a few hours we arrived at the third shelter, which was the post at that time we took off the bags we were carrying and took the tent after everything was done we set up the tent at the third post and after the tent was up we went into the shelter because it was still raining a few minutes later after sitting and enjoying coffee and cigarettes because it was very nice there if we smoke and drink coffee because it was very cold there like snow 😁😁😁
and don't forget we also took some pictures there, both my own photos and my friends,
at that time the clock was already showing 10.00 pm after we cooked and ate our food we took a short break because the next morning we had to climb to the top of the mountain,
it was already morning so we quickly got up and didn't forget to cook first for our strength to climb the top of the mountain which is Mount Burni Telong after everything was finished we prepared our equipment such as coffee cigarettes and our clothes then we continued our journey to the top of the mountain my friend said before we reached the top there was a cave and we could rest there and eat something because from the cave it was not far to the top of the mountain about 30 minutes,
after walking for quite a while we arrived in Gowa and we rested there and ate something first,
and didn't forget I took some photos around the cave,
after a few minutes later we rested there we also wanted to continue our journey to the top of the mountain beside the cave there was a rocky cliff we had to climb the cliff fortunately the cliff had been tied with a rope and it was easier to climb but unfortunately the weather had not improved it was still drizzling and covered in thick smoke we headed to the top very carefully because the wind was so strong, 30 minutes later we arrived at the top the road we climbed was very scary because there were so many combinations and very deep ravines we were very careful at that time we were still wearing raincoats,
arriving at the top of the mountain we also took some moments of me with my friend there but with the bad weather we couldn't see the city in Takengon city and the ocean in Tangerang city we only saw thick fog when we were on the mountain, a few minutes later after looking around there and taking pictures in the hill area we got ready to go home that's a glimpse of my journey to climb the mountain,
