I recently found some old photos on my hard drive and couldn’t help but feel a wave of nostalgia. These are from a work trip I took to Innsbruck, Austria, sometime between 2019 and 2021 (I honestly can’t remember the exact year!). Even though it was a quick visit, it really stuck with me—and I thought it was time to share a few moments with you.
Innsbruck is a small city, but it feels like something out of a fairytale. It’s surrounded by the most breathtaking mountains I’ve ever seen in my life. That might not sound like a big deal to some people, but I’m from Lithuania, where everything is pretty flat—so for me, seeing real mountains for the first time was absolutely magical.
I was there for work, so I didn’t have much time to explore, but I still managed to wander around the old town a little, take in the views, and snap a few photos. The streets were cozy and colorful, and the buildings had that beautiful mix of old European charm. Everywhere I turned, there were majestic peaks in the background, and I couldn’t stop looking up in awe.
Even though the photos aren’t recent, they still bring back that feeling of calm and wonder I felt while I was there. The mix of nature and city life in Innsbruck is something really special—it’s like the mountains are hugging the town from every side.
Sometimes I forget how much impact a short trip can have, even years later. Finding these pictures reminded me how important it is to pause and appreciate those little moments, especially when you’re seeing something for the first time.
So here are a few of the shots I took during that trip—hope they bring a little Alpine magic to your day too! 🌄
