Today I have the pleasure of inviting you to several art exhibitions in my city for the commemoration of the XXXIII Book Fair, a national event that takes place once a year throughout the country 🇨🇺. This week multiple activities and artistic expressions will be presented, among them “Talento heredado”, “Echando humo” and “Fabulario”, at the Azagaya and Raul Martinez galleries in the city of Ciego de Avila, Cuba.

They were inaugurated last Friday March 13 and 14 by the Provincial Council of Performing Arts of the municipality. I hope you like the works and enjoy each of these cultural designs. Join me in this wonderful tour 😉!

¡Hola viajeros de la comunidad @worldmappin!

Hoy tengo el placer de invitarlos a varias exposiciones de arte en mi ciudad por la conmemoración del XXXIII Feria del Libro, un evento nacional que se efectúa una vez al año en todo el país 🇨🇺. Esta semana se presentaran múltiples actividades y expresiones artísticas entre algunas "Talento heredado", "Echando humo" y "Fabulario", en las galerías Azagaya y Raúl Martínez de la ciudad Ciego de Ávila, Cuba.

Fueron inauguradas el pasado viernes 13 y 14 de marzo por el Consejo Provincial de las Artes Escénicas del municipio. Espero les gusten las obras y disfruten cada uno de estos diseños culturales. ¡Acompáñame en este maravilloso recorrido 😉!

On the way to the art exhibitions, I took some pictures of the successes of the book festival in the province, its central park and its streets full of joy.

What impressed me the most was the show Deities of the artistic group Caminos Teatro, capturing the attention of the whole Avileño public that visited the boulevard. Based on the religious, orisha and ancestral beliefs of the Cuban culture.

De camino a las exhibiciones de arte, pues realice algunas tomas fotográficas a los aciertos de la fiesta del libro en la provincia, su parque central y sus calles repletas de alegría.

Lo que más me impresionó fue el espectáculo Deidades de la agrupación artística Caminos Teatro, captando la atención de todo un público avileño que visitaba el boulevar. Basada en las creencias religiosas, orishas y ancestrales de la cultura cubana.

Among the book samples there was an important volume for sale in the edition. The invited publishers, such as Letras Cubanas, Oriente and Gente Nueva, brought part of their catalog, including several new books for children, teenagers and young people, essays, adult narrative (novels and short stories) and poetry, including tenths.

It is important to highlight that there were special guests from regions of Mexico, with various offers for sale from other countries, in the areas of business, anime, entrepreneurship, psychology, classics, erotic and passion.

Entre las muestras de libros había un volumen importante a la venta en la edición. Las editoriales invitadas, tales como Letras Cubanas, Oriente y Gente Nueva, traen parte de su catálogo, entre ellos varias novedades de libros para niños, para adolescentes y jóvenes, de ensayo, narrativa para adultos (novelas y cuentos) y poesía, que incluye décimas.

Es importante resaltar que habían invitados especiales de regiones de México, con diversas ofertas también a la venta de otros países, en el ámbitos de negocio, animes, emprendimiento, psicología, clásicos, erotic y pasión.

To begin this first exhibition “Echando humo” of the Cuban Steampunk project, by Editorial Gente Nueva of Havana. It can be said that they are based on a Victorian retro-futurism, in the style of science fiction. Reminiscing a bit the scientific advances of the 19th century and bringing to reality the fantastic world of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells' literature.

In addition to the skill of excellent products, where each participating artist shows his creative virtuosity.

Para comenzar esta primera exposición “Echando humo” del proyecto Steampunk cubano, de la Editorial Gente Nueva de La habana. Se puede decir, que se basan en un retrofuturismo victoriano, al estilo de ciencia ficción. Rememorando un poco los avances científicos del siglo XIX y traer a la realidad ese mundo fantástico de las literaturas de Julio Verne y H.G. Wells.

Además la destreza de excelentes productos, donde cada artista participante pone de manifiesto su virtuosismo creativo.

Here you can find various items, from candles, dream catchers, wands, incense, cards, rings and necklaces, among other products related to the theme.

One of its creators tells us that in this space we can find a Witch Workshop, Cartomachy, Ucrony and Wicca Novelties. The idea is that the visitor can live an unusual experience such as the “reading of the cards” “witches and goblins” or take a picture in a Harry Potter set. 😁

Aquí puedes encontrar varios artículos, desde velas, atrapa sueños, varitas, inciensos, cartas, anillos y collares, entre otros productos relacionados con el tema.

Nos aclara uno de sus creadores, que en este espacio podemos encontrar un Taller de la Bruja, Cartomacia, Ucronía y Novedades Wicca. Pues se trata de que el visitante pueda vivir una experiencia poco común cómo la "lectura de las cartas" "brujas y duendes" o tomarse una fotografía en un set de Harry Potter. 😁

On the other hand, I will present an artistic tribute to Florinda Monzon, a painter who contributed a lot to the history of art in Ciego de Avila.

For the descendants of this creative woman, a collective exhibition was held among friends of the city, who honor her memory through the exhibition of her plastic works.

Por otra parte, les presentaré un homenaje artístico a Florinda Monzón, pintora que aportó mucho a la historia del arte en Ciego de Ávila.

Para la descendencia de esta mujer creadora, se llevó a acabó una exhibición colectiva entre amigos de la ciudad, que honran su memoria a través de la muestra de sus trabajos plásticos.

Portraits of women inhabit one of the walls of the Gallery; psychological study of the portrayed women, technical mastery and sensitivity, define the quality of the faces.

Attractive landscapes of intense greens are shared; with their own features, both brushstrokes and stains, are integrated in their natures, and surreal elements, in these exponents of their artistic evolution.

Retratos de mujeres habitan en uno de los muros de la Galería; estudio psicológico de las retratadas, dominio técnico y sensibilidad, definen la calidad de los rostros.

Se comparten atractivos paisajes de intensos verdes; con rasgos propios, tanto pinceladas como manchas, se integran en sus naturalezas, y elementos surrealistas, en estos exponentes de su evolución artística.

This edition summons us to the encounter with first class crafts, where the public can visit throughout the month of March and travelers passing through the city.

Finally, my favorite of all the galleries 🤩, the personal exhibition of Luis Enrique Milán Boza “Fabulario”. Collection that is composed of drawings and sculptures made in the technique of ceramics, which are based on the organization of the main figures from the plasticity of the physiognomy of the rooster.

Está edición nos convoca, al encuentro con artesanías de primera categoría, donde el público podrá visitar durante todo este mes de marzo y viajeros de pasada por la ciudad.

Por último, mi favorita de todas las galerías 🤩, la muestra personal de Luis Enrique Milán Boza "Fabulario". Colección que está compuesta por dibujos y esculturas realizadas en la técnica de la cerámica, que se basan en la organización de las figuraciones principales a partir de la plasticidad de la fisonomía del gallo.

Now, the protagonism in both artistic techniques is given to the rooster, since it becomes the figurative pretext par excellence for the development of the unity between content and form.

It is valid to highlight the level of experimentation in the sculptural discourse because the spatial definition and the dialogue of one piece with the others is intelligent.

Fabulario is the staged fable, that is, the fabulation of reality re-created on a stage through ideas, concepts, forms, and expressive inquiries.

Ahora bien, el protagonismo, en ambas técnicas artísticas, se le concede al gallo, pues se convierte en pretexto figurativo, por excelencia para, el desarrollo de la unidad entre el contenido y la forma.

Es válido destacar, el nivel de experimentación, en el discurso escultórico porque, es inteligente la definición espacial y, el diálogo de una pieza, con las demás.

Fabulario es la fábula escenificada, o sea, la fabulación de la realidad re-creada en un escenario a través de ideas, conceptos, formas, e indagaciones expresivas.

Attractive solution is the uniqueness of each of the pieces. The sculpture exhibits different heights, as well as the treatment of the base and its subject, the rooster.

Expressions, gestures, poses, and symbolisms, Luis Enrique Milán Boza proposes us, which are manifested by the traditional resources reinterpreted by the artist, where the popular imaginary, the visual artistic creation, and the local identity are integrated.

We hope that these exhibitions for the 33rd Edition of the book inspire more people to explore the world of craftsmanship, creativity and to appreciate the beauty of these unique creations! 🧵✨

Atractiva solución es la singularidad de cada una de las piezas. La escultura exhibe diferentes alturas, así como tratamiento de la base y su retratado, el gallo.

Expresiones, gestos, poses, y simbolísmos, nos propone Luis Enrique Milán Boza, los cuales los manifiestan los recursos tradicionales reinterpretados por el artista, donde se integran el imaginario popular, la creación artístico visual, y la identidad local.
