Hello everybody,
These are some pictures we took at the West fries museum in Hoorn. They have a new exhibition that is called, Rembrandt the photographer. They are exhibiting about 200 etchings by Rembrandt, the largest collection in the Netherlands. And we were invited to take some pictures there.
In the beginning of the museum they play a video of the life of Rembrandt and what the exhibition is about. They kept the room as it was when the museum move to this building. I don't know how old this is, the plaster looks relatively new but the bricks could have been very old.
Rembrandt the photographer, I could'n make a better picture with this subject.
I am not sure if the black and white version is better.
And of course, we like it way better to photograph each other and the building instead of the art. But hey, that's why you need to go to the museum yourself.
Like this floor. These are original tiles that are there for the past 4oo years. And when I see a light spot like that, I need a model for some perspective and nice shadows.
In black and white he also looks good.
This part of the museum is made so that children could play a bit. that's why she is holding the cat, looks a little bit more surrealistic while she is looking outside the window.
yes I like windows. in the back you see an 400 year old building casualty standing there, just like my model, casually staring at the curtains. but I like this setting.
Staring at the art.
Hey, I did take pictures of the art, I thought this was a nice corner with that awesome wall paper.
Taking pictures together is so much fun. I can highly recommend you doing it. And I was wondering if you go to a museum, do you take your camera with you?
