Greetings friends. The other day I stopped to look at a mural that was being made along the road I usually walk when I go to work.

It is located in the city of Ibarra, Ecuador, very close to one of the many roundels in the city, the Redondel de Ajaví.

Although I thought it was only one mural because they were just starting to do it, but a few days later they finished it and I realized that there were two murals. The funny thing is that the two murals dealt with similar themes, although both had different designs.

It is a mural oriented to children and non-violence. It has different elements alluding to characters of the city and other elements that have to do with education, including the emblematic animal of Ecuador, the Andean Condor, on one side of the mural.

Saludos amigos. El otro día me detuve a observar un mural que estaban haciendo por el camino que suelo caminar cuando voy a trabajar.

Está ubicado en la ciudad de Ibarra, Ecuador, muy cerca de uno de los tantos redondeles que hay en la ciudad, el Redondel de Ajaví.

Aunque pensé que era un solo mural pues solo estaban empezando a hacerlo, pero a los días lo terminaron y me dí cuenta que eran dos murales. Lo curioso es que los dos murales trataban de temas similares, aunque ambos tenían diseños distintos.

Es un mural orientado a los niños y a la no violencia. Tiene distintos elementos alusivos a personajes de la ciudad y otros elementos que tienen que ver con la educación, incluyendo al animal emblemático de Ecuador, el Cóndor Andino, en un lado del mural.

There is specifically the part where it alludes to Nonviolence, with two children of different skin color next to each other, which perhaps seeks to make reference to inclusion, as there is also a small sign with a wheelchair.

Although it is a mural dedicated for children, as far as I can see. It is certainly a very beautiful mural, with numerous artistic details that make it look very nice.

Allí está específicamente la parte en donde hace alusión a No Violencia, con dos niños de diferente color de piel uno al lado del otro, lo que quizás buscar hacer referencia a la inclusión, ya que también hay un pequeño cartel con una silla de ruedas.

Aunque es un mural dedicado para niños, por lo que puedo ver. Ciertamente es un mural muy hermoso, con numerosos detalles artísticos que lo hacen lucir muy bien.

The other mural that is right next to this one, has to do more with the fight against bullying. This is a problem that affects many children in different parts of the world so it is great that at least this mural seeks to capture the fight against this problem.

El otro mural que está justo al lado de este, tiene que ver más en la lucha contra el bullying. Este es un problema que afecta a muchos niños en distintas partes del mundo así que es genial que al menos se busque plasmar en este mural la lucha contra este problema.

Although it is oriented to the fight against bullying, it is specifically oriented to the fight against cyberbullying.

The two elements that are part of this mural talk about that. There is the child holding a tablet, then there are some clouds where the child imagines the bullying that can be done on the Internet.

In fact, there is a girl making fun of the child and the words that are there say "He can't! He can't!". There is the bullying, with that little girl making fun of the fact that the child may not be able to do something. And in the letters below it says "stop bullying".

Aunque sí está orientado a la lucha contra el bullying, específicamente está orientado en la lucha contra el ciberbullying.

Los dos elementos que forman parte de este mural hablan sobre eso. Ahí está el niño sosteniendo una tablet, luego se ven unas nubes en dónde el niño imagina el bullying que le pueden estar haciendo por internet.

De hecho ahí se ve a una niña burlándose del niño y las palabras que están allí dicen "No puede! no puede!". Ahí está el bullying, con esa niña burlándose de que el niño quizás no pueda hacer algo. Y en las letras más abajo dice "Alto al bullying".

Another very interesting element that may well serve to attract the attention of children is this robot that is on the mural. The robot has a shield that says "Digital Safety", which visually reinforces the fight against bullying.

Otro elemento muy interesante y que bien puede servir para llamar la atención de los niños es este robot que está en el mural. El robot tiene un escudo que dice "Seguridad Digital", lo que refuerza de manera visual está lucha contra el bullying.
