Today there is a more thoughtful post with pictures from my Andalusia.
Yes, it is very strange here at the moment, the streets are empty, cafes and bars are all closed, no restaurant is open where you can get something to eat. Man or woman can not even go to the hairdresser, also closed.
Accordingly, there are hardly any people on the way in the villages, as the pictures underline impressively.
But the worst thing about it is something else, they have massive problems with the rules of conduct (even if they try to follow them almost scrupulously).
Yesterday I met a good friend of mine on a trip to the ATM, when he saw me from far away (he was also on his way to the same ATM) it was easy to see that he was really happy, a big grin lit up his face, fast steps he came towards me, tore up his arms to embrace me and then stopped in a detached position when he noticed that what his brain told him to do as a completely normal action somehow didn't fit into the current time, so there was a furtive wave and a hello right in front of me.
This has happened to me a few times now, and my counterpart always feels uncomfortable, not because he is afraid of me, but because he cannot behave normally, no hug to greet him, no kissing, the worst is just as bad for me I am now after a little more than 14 years in the south, this has become second nature to me, I have to pull myself together every time.
Believe it or not it almost tears my heart apart to see something like this, to be in the middle of it and not be able to do anything about it, I just hope that the nightmare is over soon and that normal (human) conditions will return here and elsewhere
