These murals were discovered when I was in Aalborg in October this year. Toghether with a sister we went out for a long walk, but at the same time looking for street art. We knew about the large mural on the hospital. She had not been there before. I have tried to find the mural last time I was in time, but the hospital is huge, so I gave up. This time we did not give up.
We discovered these by accident. Because we passed a narrow alley and saw part of one of the paintings, we went into the courtyard. I think they might have been here for a long time. Neither one of us have noticed them before.
The artist behind this huge mural is NADA ( Frida Still Vium). The wall belongs to one of the two large hospitals in Aalborg. The artist have done a couple of other murals in Aalborg, but long time ago. This is only a couple of years old. As you might be able to see, the passage is narrow, which made it difficult to get good photoes. It is painted between two buildings with a passage between. The building on the right side is where patients are staying. The mural was painted on this exact wall to give the patients a possibility to have the view towards the painting.
Back in the center of Aalborg. We are now going to cross Limfjorden. Our goal that day was to walk along Limfjorden, on the Nørresunby side of the fjord.
But on our way back, just before crossing back from Nørresundby to Aalborg, we passed this mural. Again it's impossible to take any good photo. The space between the buildings does not allow that. I also think this is an older painting.
A walk along Limfjorden did give us an opportunity to see street art along the way, which is always nice.
