You will find these beautiful portraits in a residential area by the waterfront in Aalborg. They are not painted on the outside wall, but within the building. One portrait on each floor. The artist is well-known, local street artist Burnon. He is known for his beautiful portraits and probably one of Aalborgs most active artists.
My sister and I went to the location on Østre Havnegade, not far from where she lives. The building has two entrances. Portraits are painted in both. In front of the six-story building there is a board with photos of the portraits and names of the persons. All of them are well-known actors, authors and politicians.
To get inside, we had to wait for someone to open the door. We were lucky. A man was just leaving when we came, so we asked politely to be let in to see the portraits. He kindly did so. As you see, it was not easy to take photos, because of being too close. On each level there is a sign on the wall with the name and some information about the person. The colours chosen for the portraits matches very well the painted walls.
Noone opened the door to the second entrance. We had to look at the portrait from the outside.
