I just returned from my trip to the city center, where I watched the light show at Gardens by the Bay. Today was a public holiday, so I thought I’d check to see if there were any special events or displays at the Gardens. It turned out there weren't, but since I was already there and didn’t want to waste the trip, I decided to stay, hang out for a bit, and watch the Garden Rhapsody light show as well.
The show starts at 7:30 PM, and I arrived about half an hour early. With some free time, I decided to take a stroll and capture photos of anything that caught my interest. The Supertrees are always the most remarkable feature here in the Gardens, and they happen to be the focal point of the light show later on.
As night falls, these man-made trees light up and transform into glowing, Avatar-like trees. Their colors shift every few minutes, making the experience even more captivating.
As soon as I reached the visitor center, I noticed several tour groups gathering for meetings. These groups were guiding tourists to the location of the light show, which is part of their tour package. Since the light show is free, it’s an experience everyone attending can enjoy.
I already had a feeling the light show would be crowded, as there seemed to be many people gathering at the entrance of the venue.
Since I was still early and didn’t want to be squeezed into the crowd, I decided to visit the gift shop to see what they had to offer.
Noticing that the show was about to start, I left the shop and headed to the light show venue, just a quick three-minute walk away. I already had a feeling it would be too crowded to find a good spot to sit and watch.
Sure enough, when I arrived, a large crowd had already gathered, all in position and waiting for the show to begin.
Although it was crowded, I still managed to find a good spot to watch the show and record a video of it. Here’s the YouTube link to the video I just uploaded. I didn’t edit it because I feel the raw footage captures the music and the crowd’s reactions well enough to enjoy as-is.
Thanks for joining me on this little adventure to Gardens by the Bay! The energy of the light show and the crowd's excitement made it a memorable experience, and I hope the video gives you a taste of the atmosphere. Stay tuned for more stories from my explorations around the city!
