A walk through the streets of Villa de Leyva 🏔️🌸 | 📍Boyacá -Colombia [ESP-ENG]

Hello fellow travelers, I hope you are doing well. After a few posts today it is finally time to share with you a little bit about one of the best municipalities in Colombia that I have visited, which is Villa de Leyva. Without a doubt, this country has really beautiful municipalities, cities and places and although I have had the opportunity to visit some of them I am sure I am missing a lot. Now, going back to Villa de Leyva, the whole trip itself was very comfortable, fun and incredible, it is 3 hours from Bogota and I can tell you that in the trip I could fall more in love with its landscapes, mountains, weather, the clouds, the trees and so on.

Hola amigos viajeros, espero que se encuentren muy bien. Después de algunos post hoy por fin ha llegado el momento de compartir con ustedes un poco sobre uno de los mejores Municipios de Colombia que he visitado, el cual es, Villa de Leyva. Sin duda, este país tiene municipios, ciudades y lugares realmente hermosos y aunque he tenido la oportunidad de visitar algunos de ellos estoy segura que me faltan un montón. Ahora bien, volviendo a villa de Leyva, todo el viaje en si fue muy cómodo, divertido e increíble, resulta que queda a 3 horas de Bogotá y puedo decirles que en el trayecto pude enamorarme más de sus paisajes, montañas, clima, las nubes, la arboleda y demás.

When we decided to take a walk through the municipality of Villa de Leyva it was already to night but it was not an impediment to admire such a beautiful town, the square at night usually becomes a golden color from the warm lights of the businesses, it is filled with many tourists who sing to the rhythm of the music that can be heard throughout the place, stores selling handicrafts and souvenirs are usually open until late, as well as some restaurants, in fact, later in another post I will tell you about their famous milhojas that I took the task of finding and trying thanks to a recommendation from my friend @evelynchacin. The streets are usually cobblestone giving it a colonial touch, with balconies full of flowers, colonial architecture and a delicious cold that envelops the place.

Cuando decidimos dar un paseo por el Municipio de Villa de Leyva ya era de noche pero no fue impedimento para admirar tan lindo pueblo, la plaza por las noches suele tornarse con un color dorado proveniente de las luces cálidas de los negocios, se llena de muchos turistas que cantan al ritmo de la música que se escucha por todo el lugar, los negocios donde venden artesanías y recuerdos suelen estar abiertos hasta tarde, al igual que algunos restaurantes, de hecho, más adelante en otro post les contaré sobre sus famosas milhojas que me di a la tarea de buscar y probar gracias a una recomendación de mi amiga @evelynchacin. Las calles suelen ser empedradas dándole un toque colonial, con balcones llenos de muchas flores, arquitectura igualmente colonial y con un frío delicioso que arropa el lugar.

The next morning, taking advantage of the fact that it was our last day, we decided to walk a little more to get to know more of this town, it turns out that in the mornings the sky is usually painted with a beautiful blue color, loaded with many clouds and thanks to the daylight you can appreciate the mountains that surround this place, as well as the vivid colors of the flowers on each balcony. The weather changes a bit since instead of cold, it feels mostly cool.

A la mañana siguiente aprovechando que era nuestro último día decidimos pasear un poco más para así poder conocer más de este pueblo, resulta que en las mañanas el cielo suele pintarse con un color azul hermoso, cargado de muchas nubes y gracias a la luz del día se pueden apreciar las montañas que rodean este lugar, así como también los vivos colores de las flores en cada balcón. El clima cambia un poco ya que en vez de frío, se siente más que todo fresco.

I do not know if the square is more crowded with tourists at night or during the day, however, it is nice to see how this town is visited and has not been forgotten like some others. During the day we could appreciate the parish Nuestra Señora del Rosario that is right in the square, we visited some shops to buy souvenirs for our relatives and we refreshed ourselves in a nearby restaurant. Villa de Leyva is surrounded by many hotels so lodging is not a problem, where we stayed was really nice and had a beautiful view, it is also surrounded by supermarkets, bakeries and other attractions.

No sé si la plaza esta más llena de turistas en la noche o en el día, sin embargo, es lindo ver como este pueblo es visitado y no ha quedado en el olvido como algunos otros. Durante el día pudimos apreciar la parroquia Nuestra señora del Rosario que queda justo en toda la plaza, visitamos algunos locales para comprar recuerdos a nuestros familiares y nos refrescamos un poco en un restaurante cercano. Villa de Leyva esta rodeado de muchos hoteles por lo que el hospedaje no es un problema, donde nosotros nos quedamos era realmente lindo y tenía una vista hermosa, también esta rodeado de supermercados, panaderías y otros atractivos.

Between Ráquira and Villa de Leyva I could not say which of the two is more beautiful, I consider that each one has its own thing that makes it really charming and attractive, what I am sure of is that if you visit this beautiful town you will fall in love with each of its streets and attractions, as an order (which at the time was made to me) I recommend you to try the milhojas of the place, they are really delicious. Entre Ráquira y Villa de Leyva no podría decir cual de los dos es más lindo, considero que cada uno tiene lo suyo que lo hace realmente encantador y atractivo, de lo que si estoy segura es que si visitas este lindo pueblo te enamorarás de cada una de sus calles y atractivos, como encargo (que en su momento me hicieron a mí) les recomiendo que prueben las milhojas del lugar, son realmente deliciosas.
