This is a post to go with #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay.

When I visit my children, I usually walk alone in the morning while the children are still asleep.
So on my last visit to Moscow, I went outside to meet the dawn. Although I wasn't thinking about sunrise when I went for a walk. But it so happened that during the walk the Sun greeted me with its first rays...

Here it is, the first yellow streak on the horizon. Of course, the horizon is not visible among the tall buildings. But let's go ahead and see what happens.

My children (that's what I call my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson) live in Moscow in the Shchukino district. In this area, many streets are named after Soviet generals or symbolize the history of the Second World War.
This church is located at the intersection of Narodnaya Opolcheniya Street and General Berzarin Street. During my stay in Moscow, I often walk through this church. But there is no worship service in the church on Monday morning. It's quiet and peaceful here.

There is a small car park next to the church. There are always trucks parked on it. And now there was a long truck here.
I saw the birth of the Sun!

Narodnaya Opolcheniya Street.
At first, I planned to cross it and take a walk in the park, which is located immediately on the other side of the street. But when I went outside, I decided to follow it.

А вот это оказалось для меня неожиданностью.
I reached the intersection and turned right to go through other streets back to the house. But it turned out that a new metro station was being built here and many streets were blocked for car traffic and also for pedestrians. I walked here quietly last year.

Here it is, and the Sun has appeared! I walked along the fence that hides the construction site, about 300 meters away, and realized that there was no point in going any further. I can get lost if I turn off the road into courtyards, and the navigator doesn't work because of the protection against drones.

I reached the church and turned from the street towards the house. But I went through a small park. The top of the church is visible on the left side. In this park in summer, you can meet many young people in the morning and evening who practice sports equipment, play basketball, and ping-pong. But there's no one in the park right now.

The houses I'm heading to are already illuminated by the sun. But there are cars covered with ice in the shade. The temperature is about -12 degrees. During my walk, for about 1 hour, the temperature rose by a couple of degrees.

It was a nice walk. When I got home, my grandson was already awake and waiting for me.
It was the morning of February 24th.

Friends, goodbye! Until the next walk.
